Sports and exotic car owners and automobile transporters cannot say enough about Dale Hofius’ ingenious automatic tracked trailer loading system. Dale’s Rail Ryder enclosed trailer tie down systems are operating with precision and mechanical ability beyond any other vehicle loading system on the market. The loading device is composed of a trailer tie down track/trolley and winch, which is operated with a simple control outside the trailer. Whether you would like to upgrade to a new custom enclosed trailer or have an existing trailer, we know that we can give your car a secure and safe ride with a Rail Ryder installation.
The Rail Ryder vehicle loading system features:
After years of using motorsports trailers himself, Dale had grown tired of the typical frustrations that occur while attempting to load a sport or exotic car trailer. The loading angles were too steep, the ramp could move or falter, and crawling out the driver’s side window after the car was inside the trailer was both a danger and a hassle. By combining his extensive professional background in the manufacturing industry with his passion for the automotive world, Dale began to develop a product that would revolutionize the trailer loading process for even the most unique and difficult vehicles and their drivers.
Dale officially founded Rail Ryder in 2009 when he designed and manufactured the company’s first automatic trailer loading system out of his garage. Rail Ryder has grown quickly and has even developed into its very own manufacturing shop in northwestern Pennsylvania, just outside the City of Erie. However, dazzled customers from California to New York, and Oregon to Florida cannot say enough about this trailer tie down system.
A quick walk through the Rail Ryder manufacturing facility with Dale or a conversation with one of Rail Ryder’s customers explains why this loading solution has become so popular. Dale’s engineering background, attention to detail, and passion for exotic cars has allowed him to create one of the largest innovations in the automobile transportation industry in decades.
It is the only one-man enclosed trailer loading system on the market, as these systems allow users to secure the vehicle with a DOT compliant 4-point securement tiedown system. The owner’s prized automobile is driven onto the trolleys, secured with scar-free tiedowns, and is then loaded into the trailer with the push of a button.
The enclosed trailer tie down system uses an unbeatably low 4 degree loading angle compared to the average 13 degree angle provided by most trailers. This feature of Rail Ryder is vital for many sports cars with very low suspensions, and also solves problems that come with loading wide vehicles. This tie down and loading system is used by industry professionals like luxury auto spas, exotic car transporters, and individual car enthusiasts.
If you are looking to upgrade to a new trailer, we have relationships with a multitude of manufacturers. We are able to make suggestions or work with the manufacturer of your choice. Once your trailer is configured and built, Rail Ryder will be installed and your trailer shipped directly to your door!
